"Following Padme EP, co-produced with Gomorra and released on Origami Sound, Dersu returns with a throbbing four-track EP, a fusion of sounds. In its 25-minute entirety, Dersu synthesizes sounds from the mountainous range of the orient, the flat dunes of the scorching Sahara desert, the swampy lands of New Orleans to Berlin techno scenes into afresh air. Dersu EP is a musical fabric woven with ruminants of jazz, trance-inducing Afro-percussions, obscured vocals, soothing chimes and horns, sublime funk basslines underneath well crafted house beats. Dersu is part of Basel based Alma Negra with previous releases on Sofrito, Basic fingers, Highlife & New Kanada"
